The Kids Are Cooking

An aircraft I photographed in the aircraft graveyard in Tuscon, AZ. This particular detail of the plane, the fuel tank suspended from the wing, serves in this piece as protection of our way of life during the Cold War. Americans were able to go about their normal lives while our military was building to unprecedented levels to stay one step ahead of the Russians. Hand-cut collage on masonite, 36x36x2".
